2.
Orange Is The New Pink

The runways proved that orange on nails and lips are the way to go come spring. Not into it? Pantone also announces that orchid is the colour on top.

3.     Designer Hair Tool
Having amazing hair every day is worth the investment. Celebrity hair guru Harry Josh launches his pricey namesake tools (which include a hair dryer and flat iron) and his clientele and peers rave about their stand smoothing ability and take to Instagram and Twitter to prove it (check our Gisele’s mid flat ironing snap!).

4.     Keep Juicing

Juice bars are still popping up as frequently as Starbucks: while the Vitamix inspires the health conscious to DIY their green liquids at home. Juice Generation founder, Eric Helms, debuts The Juice Generation, USD 20 on amazon.com, which includes easy recipes as well as tributes to juicing from celebrities such as Salma Hayek.

Sana Cleanse hit the circuit, launches 3 or 5-day juice cleanse program of freshly pressed juices delivered to your door to replace your regular diet.

5.     Dance. Dance. Dance.

Get sleek and toned allover with dance-inspired workouts from Ballet Beautiful founder Mary Helen Bowers to Equinox’s Barre Burn.

6.     The New Pro Anti-Ager

Topical antioxidants and healthy skin essentials are, of course, crucial for a daily skincare routine but now pros are figuring out how to deliver them beond skin deep. Plastic surgeons are offering clients injectable vitamins. The promise: like a mutli-vitamin for skin, that’s ultra-nourishing with hydrating hyaluronic acid, too, these tinu micro-pricks into skin deliver nutrients instantly for, as the name implies, an immediate glow – and results can last up to six months.

7.     Chop Shop

The red carpet was – and will continue – to be flooded with short styles. Last year’s most noteworthy ranged from actresses to models and varied from rocker chic (on Charlize Theron and Miley Cyrus) to feminine and polished (like on Anne Hathaway).

8.     The Subdued Nail

Drop graphic designs for more simple sophistication. Now, nails take on a more back-to-basics approach. Case in point: the Spring 2014 runways ay Nina Ricci, 3.1 Philip Lim, Milly and Lela Rose.

9.     The New Faces Of Beauty

Model turned muse, Cara Delevingne, becomes the face of fashion and beauty brand, YSL. While A-listers from Lady Gaga for Versace and Penelope for Lancome as well as Olive Wilde for Revlon and Blake Lively for L’Oreal Paris follow suit.

10.  Veg Out

Power couple Jay Z and Boyonce vow to go vegan for 21 days leading up to the music mogul’s 40th birthday, proving that plat-based eating is no longer for only extreme foodies.

11.  The IT Hair Colour

Michelle Williams’s stunning platinum cut in the Louis Vuitton ads sparked a return to ultra-bleached out tips and dark roots that doesn’t seem to be letting up any time soon.

12.  The Return of The Rose

After several seasons of floral mixes or amber-based scents, rose relaunches as the essential eau. Fragrance houses continue to come out with odes to the flower – such Chloe  eau de toilette.

13.  Total Body Transformations

Age-defying body treatments take priority both in office and at home – from stellar exfoliating to hydrating oils and collagen boosting lights. Case in point: every single one of the VS Angels strutted over to the office of NYC dermatologist David Colbert, MD, for the weeks leading up to the fashion show, for this signature Traid facial, a sequence of manual and acid-based exfoliation plus collagen enhancing LED lights, head-to-toe.

14.  Even Out

Although Botox reigns supreme as the essential wrinkle smoother, innovations in evening out skin tone push to the top of the list for beauty brands, incorporating high-tech naturals such as pearl extracts and super yeast.
